Kahlan Lee
Programme Manager
Kahlan’s journey into the world of music began at the age of 8, when he followed his brother’s footsteps and joined the Bradford Cathedral choir. There, he received lessons in piano, singing, and music theory, and by the age of 11, he had risen to the position of head chorister of the boys' choir. After moving to the back row as a Bass, Kahlan continued to nurture his love of piano and developed a growing interest in the organ, eventually becoming an organ scholar at St. Michael’s Church in Mytholmroyd.
At 14, Kahlan was on track to pursue a career in music—until an unexpected passion led him down a different path. As an avid reader and fan of Lord of the Flies, he attended a dance workshop for the play, where he was selected to perform in Matthew Bourne’s Lord of the Flies. After performing at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford, he was drawn into a whole new world of dance.
Over the next four years, Kahlan trained as a CAT (Centre for Advanced Training) student in Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary dance. His dedication paid off when he was accepted into the prestigious Central School of Ballet in London, where he spent three years training to become a professional ballet dancer. During this time, he also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Dance and Drama, before moving to Germany to pursue a career as a professional dancer.
After battling a series of injuries, Kahlan decided it was time to move on to the next chapter of his life. Recognising the potential in Addamus and the meaningful work it offers, he now channels his energy and passion into this inspiring new venture.
