This year we will be returning to Salisbury Cathedral, as part of our yearly tradition. A course exclusively for Friends of Addamus, we will share drinks, laughs and of course sing amazing music in the beautiful church of Salisbury Cathedral.
The Course
The course runs for 3 days and 2 nights and is fully residential, meaning your accommodation, breakfast, and dinner are all included for a truly immersive experience. During your stay, you’ll participate in a series of engaging workshop masterclasses and rehearsals led by our exceptional Musical Director, Caius Lee. These sessions are designed to refine your vocal technique and musical expression in a supportive, inspiring environment.
In addition to the workshops, you'll also have the unique opportunity to sing services in the magnificent Salisbury Cathedral, adding to your musical journey. This is a wonderful chance to immerse yourself in both the rich history of the cathedral and the thrill of performing in one of England’s most iconic sacred spaces.

But that's not all—Salisbury Cathedral also houses one of the four remaining original copies of the Magna Carta, the historic document that helped shape modern democracy. Built in just 38 years (a lightning-fast feat for medieval architecture), this majestic cathedral is a true marvel of Gothic design!

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with Addamus in Norwich!
Norwich is a unique UK city break destination, boasting not one but two magnificent cathedrals! Norwich Cathedral, set in sprawling 44-acre grounds, is one of Europe's finest complete Romanesque cathedrals and boasts the second-tallest spire and largest monastic cloisters in England. We look forward to singing evensong here for our final two days of the course.
We're also thrilled to collaborate again with our esteemed friend, composer Matthew Coleridge. Participate in a workshop exploring his epic Requiem alongside Duruflé's magnificent setting.
Norwich offers something for everyone, making it an ideal city break. Don't miss out! As our only course this year, book early to secure your spot.
Timetable
Friday: Rehearsal day to prepare for the course, followed by pub quiz.
Saturday: Workshop with Caius Lee & Matthew Coleridge, exploring Duruflé Requiem and Coleridge Requiem (https://matthewcoleridge.com/home/), followed by evening concert.
Sunday: Eucharist/Mass (church to be confirmed) followed by evening meal.
Monday: Evensong at Norwich Cathedral
Tuesday: Evensong at Norwich Cathedral
