ADDAMUS CHORAL PROGRAMME

Combining world-class musical training with cultural immersion across Europe

Welcome to the Addamus Choral Programme (formerly the Florence International Singing Programme). Our mission is to provide exceptional choral experiences in the UK and Europe's most magnificent churches, fostering unforgettable musical journeys. Through high-quality tuition and inclusive, affordable courses, we aim to inspire personal and musical growth, cultivate a lifelong passion for music, and build confidence, ensuring that all participants leave our programmes musically, socially, and culturally fulfilled.

Our courses are designed to combine musical excellence with rich cultural experiences. Each course is carefully curated around two central questions: "What repertoire would we like to sing?" and "Where would we like to sing it?" .

This approach allows us to create unparalleled programs, featuring venues renowned for their architectural and musical significance, complimented by exceptional accommodations and locally recommended dining options, creating an engaging and enjoyable atmosphere for all participants.

*Addamus was originally created as the Florence International Singing Programme

''Absolutely mind-blowing and something I have never undertaken before. So glad I did as it was one of the times of my life musically, socially, enjoying other peoples company and sharing experiences together.''

— European Choral Course Participant 2022

“I found this life-affirming. Extraordinary to come together without auditions, bound only by love of music and the will to honour it, and find oneself rehearsing and performing extraordinary repertoire with dedicated musicians in sublime spaces. Is this not music?”

— Fauré in Paris 2024

Accessibility

Accessibility is central to our mission. A standout feature of our courses is the inclusion of professional singers as part leaders for each section. These experienced musicians provide mentorship and support to each voice part, drawing on their extensive experience of performing this repertoire.

Our inclusive and affordable courses ensure that singers of all levels can participate. Whether you are a seasoned performer or a passionate beginner, our programs offer the unique opportunity to sing in extraordinary venues that might otherwise remain out of reach .

The future of Choral music

We are also deeply committed to nurturing the future of choral music through Addamus: Inspire, our outreach initiative. This programme will provide life-changing opportunities for young people from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds to discover and develop a love of choral singing. Through this vital work, we aim to inspire the next generation of singers, choral leaders, and audiences, contributing to a sustainable and inclusive future for the art form.
